Vehicle Wrap Pricing – How much does a vehicle wrap cost?
The cost to complete a vehicle wrap on your car will vary depending on several factors, however the cost is basically configured by the amount of material used and the time taken to wrap the vehicle. In some cases such as on a commercial wrap there is also a design fee as considerable hours are spent designing the layout for the graphics.
Here at Ultimate Car Wraps, we only use high-quality brands of vinyl such as 3M, Orafol, Hexis and Arlon. Sure there are cheaper materials available on internet sites such as eBay and Alibaba, however we refuse to trust our reputation on these inferior materials. Out of curiosity, we have imported ‘no name’ brands of vinyl to test them and thus far none of these products have surpassed our expectations and we would not be comfortable using them on a client’s car.
It is a fact that some materials cost more than others, and the specialty vinyls such as chromes, pearls, carbon fiber, etc., will cost more than your regular gloss or matte colours.
Likewise, the quality of the installation will vary the price. Preparation is key to a good result, and before we get to laying down any vinyl a good quality wrap installation begins with thorough cleaning before removal of various trim pieces, badges, door handles, etc. Taking shortcuts in any of these stages may reduce the price as it saves time, but it also reduces the quality of the installation.
Also, when comparing quotes from various wrap shops, be sure to clarify what is getting wrapped and what isn’t. On a full colour change wrap, you should consider options such as wrapping inside the door jambs to hide the original colour completely. Again, this uses more material & takes more time and so it will cost a little more, but it offers a much better finished result.
